Getting a new sponsor. – The Scouting America website says “A chartered organization can be a place of worship, school, or other community group that has the same interests as the Boy Scouts of America”

We will ask the Fair board, which is part of Teton County.  One of the schools is also a possibility.  Karen lined up Roos Subaru as a potential sponsor and they are interested in it.  We need to look into the mechanics of having a business sponsor us.

What should we do with our stuff? – It can stay at St. Francis for a while.  We will load the Scout trailer with as much Scouting stuff as we can, then take to the Mosby home and have a sorting and organizing party.  Dates to be determine.

July 4 – float in Victor – Sidney is Chair. We will raise the flag at the Victor City Park.

Also, the 4th of July parade clarification in the meeting was I have the truck and trailer and I have a tent to set up if that that decoration we want for the float but, I do need help with decorating and would like to have the kids ride in the parade and throw stickers out that were purchased for the parade. We need 2 more volunteers to walk along the float as it is the City of Victor rules for having a float. Thank you, Courtney and Karen, for volunteering for that. We need 2 more. We would LOVE to have the scouts ride in the parade. Let me know if this is something you want to do.

I’ve ordered 500 for $131.44 total, delivery in a few days.

Mechanics of Uniform exchange  – Deposit, or sliding scale depending on need. – Uniforms are one of the methods of Scouting and important to increase awareness in the community.  Wear them to school, wear them to Scouts, wear them to the store.

Thrive Conference – Cheryl – we need to recruit, also plan for invigorating the Troop.  The troop needs a minimum of 3 scouts (boy or girl) a Scoutmaster, Assistant Scoutmaster and Committee.

New Business?

Karen – a new group communication system? “Team Reach”yes

Also check info on MyScouting.

Buy custom “185” numerals – 100 for $64, 200 for $67 at Stadri emblems – 100 will be ordered.  These prices are wrong, they were a come-on.  100 official BSA sets will cost $181.  It’s still cheaper than from the Scouts and a lot less hassle. So I’ll order them.
